Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or "tapping"

Emotional Freedom Technique or “Tapping” is a simple yet powerful technique that combines modern day psycho therapy with the ancient wisdom of the energetic flows in the body or acupuncture system.

It allows the mind, body and the energy flows in the body to work together to heal NATURALLY!

Emotional Freedom Technique or “Tapping” is a simple yet powerful technique that combines modern day psychology with the ancient wisdom of the acupuncture system.

It allows the mind, body and spirit to process, dissolve and release any trapped emotional, physical or energetic dis- ease or trauma from the past that your body is still not at peace with.

Think about these scenarios:

Imagine a stressful incident from your past, maybe a relationship breakup or job loss. You may think you have dealt with it and moved on, but if you were to ask your body, “How does it still FEEL about the incident? What do you think your body would say?

Do you still feel sad? Hurt? Or Angry?

What kind of “emotional charge” do you still feel?
Then rate the intensity out of 10.
Often we think we have moved on, but in actual fact, many times we just suppressed the pain deep into our body or numb it with food, alcohol or some other addictive habit in order to move on and survive.

The suppressed emotions become a deep bruise or sore point in our body, that can be painful emotionally and physically if they get touched or brought up again.

Over time these wounds and bruises can affect our overall emotional and physical health and wellbeing, desperately trying to avoid them being touched.

When ever we still have a negative “emotional charge” attached to people, places or incidences in our lives, it can still be a big underlying influence in your life still today.

Symptoms of Emotional Dis-ease and suppressed sadness, anger, fear or guilty can:

  1. Drain your energy, cause fatigue and tiredness

  2. Affect different parts of your body’s health and wellbeing

  3. Create physical pain eg: headaches, back and neck pain, digestive issues

  4. Affect your self confidence and self esteem

  5. Cause anxiety and depression, blocking your ability to feel relaxed, peaceful and calm

  6. Cause self sabotaging patterns that make it hard for you to achieve your goals, dreams and success.

During an EFT session, Alison will gently guide you to get in touch with how you are feeling and ask you to rate this intensity of the emotion or pain out of 10, 10 being highly emotional or painful.

Then she will gently start to tap on specific acupressure points on your body as you start to talk about what is causing you to feel this way or focusing on the pain in your body. During this process clients will automatically start to feel their body relax, feel calm and more peaceful.

Common responses are:
Yawning, tingling in the body, muscles unwinding, aches and pains starting to fade, move or shift throughout the body.
Clients will also start to notice other thoughts, feelings or memories start to appear in their mind. This happens as the body releases layers of stress and helps to guide you to the root cause of the issue.

Alison will then ask you to think about the intense emotion or physical pain and again rate it out of 10. Clients start to notice the intensity of their feelings lower and automatically start to feel more “feel good emotions” flowing up instead. Eventually all dis-ease can be dissolved, leaving complete “Emotional and Physical Freedom”.

Your body’s own natural healing ability is more powerful than you can imagine……..filled with life force energy.
Once you unblock these flows of energy, that become blocked due to too much stress, a traumatic incident or living your life way out of balance, then your body has the potential to start healing itself Naturally!
